@Eugenia- There’s more of a chance of women GETTING herpes because of more
mucous membrane. For men, there’s less of a chance of getting herpes
because of less mucous membrane. That’s why 25% of women ages 14-49 in
America have genital herpes while only 10% of men do. See the handouts on
Herpes Opportunity for more on that.
There was a very contradictory statement made: 1. “…So, there’s more of a
chance of transmitting it if you are a female… there’s more mucus
membrane, equals more opportunity to infect…” and he turns right around
and says the opposite!!! “When you are disclosing, obviously if you are a
woman there’s going to be much less of a chance of the guy getting it, so
you can actually have that be part of the disclosure…” This was a
mistake, right?
Great and informative video.
Awesome! Thanks again Adrial. Information is power. And when it comes to
herpes, it is so hard to find information that is accurate, reliable and
talked about in a relaxed and matter-of-fact manner. Thank you so much for
being the pioneer. I know it’s not easy, but the more we talk about this,
the more we can help to inform, educate and remove the stigma.
